Campagnolo has a reputation for being the highest quality. I've been using Campagnolo components on my road bikes since the early 1980's and have never been disappointed. Chains wear out no matter how well you take care of them. I have Campagnolo Record 2015 edition on my current road bike. So my obvious first choice would be the matching chain. As long as I have a choice, then I will choose Campagnolo Record components for my road bikes.

I upgraded my 2004 Campagnolo Record 10 speed compact 50 /34 chainring's, 110 BCD with 10 speed Record Titanium 23/11 cassette, due to chain wear and not a high enough gear, 50/11 was not enough for top speed. TO A new set up with Record Titanium 10 speed 21/11 cassette and 2011/2014 Campagnolo Record 11 speed chainrings allowing me to go to 52/36. You must also use the 2011/2014 Ultra Torque bolt set as the 8mm bore matches both chainrings and the 10 mm head matches the 2011/14 Chainrings. As these chainring's are slightly closer ( outer chainring is on the same center line, but the new inner ring is now approximately 0.5 mm closer to the outer ring. Due to the tighter dimension and for clearance reasons I opted for the narrower new 5.5 mm wide 11 speed record chain. This avoids the possibility that the older design 10 speed chain that is 5.9 mm wide might rub against the outer 52 tooth chainring when chain is running on the combination of the 36 inner ring and on the 11 tooth cassette cog. The back inner face of the 52 tooth 11 speed chainring is machined/shaped to avoid the chain rubbing as the chain moves to the smallest rear cog and has maximum displacement from the natural straight center line. The narrower 11 speed 5.5 mm wide chain runs perfectly on the 10 speed cassette and 10 speed jockey wheels on the rear derailleur. The 11 speed cassettes uses the same cassette cogs as the 10 speed cassette and only narrows the spacer width between cogs to allow for the extra 11th cog as the whole cassette width is the same for both an 11 and 10 speed, essentially. While you can run the 11 speed chain on a 10 speed set up I would not recommend it as the chainrings being further apart on a 10 speed set up might allow the chain to drop between the chainrings if the change is too slow. Trust this helps others if they decide to update an old ten speed campact set up. Read full review

Very nice. Wish the inner plate color would match the outer plates. I noticed a difference in shifting quality when I installed this along with the new cassette. I believe this was primarily due to the new cassette but the chain works very well too.

Love the chain, hate the coupling. I just throw away the camp pin and install kmc coupler
