The lens works perfectly and was as described, although the zoom lock switch was damaged (apparently a common issue with this lens) during shipping. This wasn't the sellers fault, and I managed to fix it without needing to return the lens. If I want a new lens for a good price, I know where to look. I'd 100% buy from this seller again.

    Review of recently purchased Canon EF 70-200 lens

    I have long desired this particular lens but lack of ready funds had stopped me. I have several cameras ranging from film to various Nikon and Canon digital cameras so I have lots of lenses to compare this one with. I found that initially the lens seemed heavy, but amazingly after a few days it and I seemed to become one. The images are sharp and add a different dimension to my photos. I am using it on a Canon 40D at the present time and find that it has a smaller field of view than any of my other lenses. One other thing that I have found is that I need to get a lot further away from my subjects. I have tried this lens from portraits to landscapes and find that this lens lives up to it's reputation.     Canon 70-200 f4 L IS USM review

    A very sharp lens with amazing detail and good contrast throughout it's entire zoom range. The lens also controls chromatic aberration really well, but it doesn't do well with flaring at all.

    Beast of a lens

    Unless you need something for low light shooting, in which case you will probably want the F/2.8, this lens is fantastic value and generates plenty of depth of field at f4 with really lovely sharp images. A must in your lens kit
