A family member had the same model and I was impressed with the many functions and how it was user friendly. I have always been a big fan of the Canon cameras. I have used it some, love the size and how it fits in my hand. Still need to read the manual to learn the more advanced functions, but it does really well with the full auto functions. For a point and shoot, it does a great job!

The View Finder screen makes seeing images outside in sunlight almost impossible (example a daytime elevated scenic shot from a road side turn off) leaving you to make a best guess on the shot and so far I have discovered I am not very good at guessing blind. However it is fine for indoor stationary object photography ( EG Auto Shows/ Museums) or around house family get together portraits shots. However the Digital camera lag puts you back in the Guessing department at a live show as the shot you thought were taking is never there an the image you get is about a second and a half in the future.

Still learning how to use it, since I have only had it for a few days, but the features on it are awesome!!!!! Has built in features for taking photos in snow (not that I will ever use that one here in Texas, LOL) and for photographing fireworks! You can take pics in b&w, sepia, blue (which works great for caribbean destinations) and in green tones! It is light as can be, given the fact it has an amazing zoom lens on it! So far I am impressed with its picture quality, better than my last digi camera. I will be taking this new cam on my cruise in a week, and will get to play with all the features & take more pics to see how well it does!
I bought this camera for the zooming qualities and that works fairly well until you are using the 120x for long distance then the photos are grainy. It has been a long time since I have had a camera hanging around my neck. I like all the setting features. It is like my first Minolta, you have to learn how to use it properly for the best pictures. I have yet to make a movie, I take lots of photos on cruises so I have a lot more good shots because I could zoom in on my subject. It has made photography fun again!
Level of experience: Moderate. Small size makes this camera desirable for portability. This camera seems to have a HUGE appetite for battery resources! Although it comes with a rechargeable battery, it really puts a drain on it in movie mode. Buyer should have a spare backup battery. I would recommend this camera to buy. It makes a very good Cam for Ebay pics!
