I bought this book as a part of an education class about child development as it relates to education. It is very thorough and provides many examples and case studies so to help the reader know how development stages relate to real situations. It is easy to read and incorporates diversity into concepts and theories including cultural impacts on differences in development. This is a good book for anyone interested in child psychology and a must for those interested in teaching elementary/secondary education. However, it does reference the CD quite often throughout the text and examples and I wish the seller would have included it. If you are getting this book make sure it comes with the CD.
This book was required for one of my classes. The book was well organized and well written, giving easy to understand explanations of complex concepts so that the "novice" can get it.
I'm sure it would have been beneficial to the class I was taking, however, I never got the book. I guess it got lost in the mail.
