Before I say anything bad...It does look great. If you are not really going to use it much and just need it as a piece somewhere, then go ahead and grab it. The hide is a great pattern and the stitching looks meticulous. It's all real and handcrafted and visually you will not be disappointed. However, I am planning on sitting in it often and allowing guests to sit in it and that's where the problems start. Unlike the canvas covers that came with my butterfly chairs this product lays flat. The pattern to stitch it together doesn't actually create a curve to cradle you in the super comfortable way these chairs are known for. So you sit in this and it's taught right away at the butt instead of wrapping you up on all sides a little bit. There is very little pressure on either side of your hips which means the side edges lay lose. I believe the side edges running from the top pockets down to the bottom ones should act more or less like a suspension bridge, but they do nothing to support you, (and you can flap them around with your hand if you like.) Instead the tension goes diagonally straight past your thighs and up to the middle of the crest of the lower pockets(pictured). One corner (the left, if in chair) seems especially short and the pressure is on the large leather stitching holes of the underside of the pocket piece. It's specifically 3 holes I'm worried about. It looks like they will be the first to bust. If the material actually wrapped you up a bit then the weight might be better distributed across it and to all edges of the bar sitting inside the pocket, not just one point of that bar. I imagine it's probably easier to cut the hide into simpler shapes with 90 degree angles and stitch the pieces together in a flat fashion, but the end result creates a flat piece instead of an ergonomic comfortable hanging seat. It's sub par craftsmanship, and lacks some foresight. Ultimately the chair is not as comfortable as I had hoped and I am worried that it will break far too soon. Despite these things it is comfortable enough to sit in and I will still look darn good sitting in it while it lasts. Read full review
