Thank you. The DVD arrived on time and as described. As it's a new copy of an old 1947 movie, the upscaling to digital is a little disconcerting/distracting at times, but nobody does absurdity quite so well as Danny Kaye, so a lot can be forgiven. "Digitally Remastered" is definitely a stretch, though, including the case cover artwork. No fault of the seller's however, just a note to prospective buyers to take a leaf out of the movie and simply enjoy the escapism. Good seller, easy transaction.

Command Decision
One of the best war movies ever. No visual combat scenes, but gives insight into how General officers have to send men to their deaths to win the war. There are many types of battle injuries. Incredible stress causing breakdown is one. Touched on also in 12 o’clock High.

I first saw this movie in 1949 when a boy of 10, but was too young to apprereciate it back then. Now I rate it as one of my favourites.
WW2 drama, mostly talking, but well acted, & has some great scenes between the lead characters. Walter Pidgeon & Clark Gable were outstanding, & the supporting cast (Van Johnson, Charles Bickford, Brian Donlevy, etc) was excellent.

Takes you back to when there were real stars. The acting is first rate, each individual had clear diction, no dependence on bad language , just a classic film of that era. Most enjoyable.
