Author Biography
Anthony Edwards is a criminal solicitor at TV Edwards LLP. He is a higher courts advocate and duty solicitor. He is a visiting professor at Queen Mary, University of London and a member of the Law Commission's advisory panel on criminal law. Anthony writes and lectures widely on criminal law. He is on the editorial boards of Criminal Law Review and Blackstones' Criminal Practice, author of Advising a Suspect in the Police Station (Sweet & Maxwell), contributing author to Blackstone's Criminal Practice, Magistrates Court Handbook and Youth Court Handbook (all OUP), Sentencing Handbook (with Joanne Savage), Criminal defence: a guide to good practice (with Roger Ede) (Law Society) and Legal Aid Handbook (with Vicky Ling and Simon Pugh (LAG). Colin Beaumont is a criminal solicitor in private practice and a consultant. He is a duty solicitor and has been writing and training criminal lawyers for many years particular in the billing of legal aid work.
