I was a Starbucks addict and tried other espresso machines such as the Delonghi Magnifica and the typical Keurig but I always ended up going back and spending a bunch of money. This one may have done the habit in for good! The hard part is getting over the fact that it is a pod based system. In reality the espresso in these little pods are delicious and makes things so easy and fast. I tend to rush in the morning and need something to be ready in a 5-10 timeframe. This can do that. The only thing I would say is not impressive is the temperature of the milk. I like my espresso nice and hot [like 160-170 temp] and the milk isnt very hot. I do a cycle of hot water before making the espresso so it is nice and hot. I invested in the Breville milk frother and they are the perfect combination if you prefer the temperature on the higher side and you can contol the temperature. I believe the machine itself does the milk around 150 degress. In any case it is an excellent product.Read full review

Thank goodness for the great support the Nespresso company gives. I had to send in the machine for repair, before I could even use it once. Somehow it leaked water from the bottom of the machine. Nespresso is repairing it, has sent me a loan machine, and will return the fixed one back to me in a few days.

I LOVE this machine! It couldn't be easier to use and clean and the cappuccinos and lattes couldn't taste better for the price (I can't speak for straight espresso as I don't drink it, but I do see a nice crema if I brew it with the Nespresso brand pods)! I do not feel the need to ever purchase another latte or cappuccino from Starbucks (unless I'm just out and about or really want one of the seasonal drinks -which could probably be made just as easily by adding the flavored syrups). The cappuccino is small, so some may want to use two pods. I use the Bodum double glass wall mug that is 5 oz. and it fits pretty good with a little room at the top. The latte is probably around 6 oz. I have used full fat milk, 2%, and a mixture of mostly milk with a small amount of sweetened liquid creamer or even half and half. I am satisfied with the foam it creates either way. I love that you can just do a quick clean (press and hold a button) and then put the milk container back in the fridge for the next day. The daily cleanup just involves pushing and holding a button that creates steam and a tiny bit of water to clean out the milk spout. The milk container can be taken apart once a week or so (I've done longer) and cleaned Keep in mind that you have to keep an eye on the amount of pods that you have because you cannot buy these in the grocery stores. Nespresso does have very quick shipping though (2-3 days). I've been able to add just water (by pressing the Lungo button without a pod inserted) to an espresso for my mom because she can't take strong coffee. This seems to make it more versatile (or you can just brew a lungo and then push the latte or cappuccino button for more milk and then press it again to stop it before it brews more coffee. If you like a certain amount of water or milk each time, you can even program it to make it like that every time. I can't say that there is anything that I dislike about this machine, other than I was trying not to drink coffee every single day, but with having this one, I often crave it more than once a day and now I don't know if I'll ever be able to swallow "diner coffee" again!Read full review
this is a great one step latte maker. I got a great price of $199 for a new but open box model. my only two complaints are minor. it doesn't make really hot coffee so you have to nuke it. there is a foam adjuster but not an adjustment to use less milk and it does overdue the milk a bit. but all in all a good product for the price.

The is for the coffee aficionado. It makes a frothed milk cappuccino as good as a french cafe and better than Starbucks. You put milk or creamer in the milk container (flavored if you prefer) and have a near perfect beverage in a few minutes. adjustable settings and sizes. There's a reason that it retails for $350+. I was able to register my new unit at Nespresso so I know its genuine.
