This Dewalt has a nice ergonomically designed handle that even my small hands can get a good grip on! The power of this drill is good enough. Your not going to build an addition to your home or build a deck with this guy, but this puppy will do a lot of work. It will get into tight spaces, and wont weigh you down from project to project. I also own a 20 volt Dewalt. That stays in the truck untill I need the extra power. I am a maintenance man, and I use my drill every day! Love it.. Angel V.

This is the perfect electric screwdriver. The clutch control is excellent and avoids damaging screw heads. The quick-change 1/4" chuck allows you to, quickly, switch from a drill bit to a driver bit, although it is still faster to have a separate tool with which to drill. The best thing is the compact size of the tool. The quick-change 1/4" chuck eliminates the usual large chuck and lets you work in confined spaces. If you buy a set of bits of multiple lengths, it is even more useful. The 12 volt battery is plenty powerful for any job you will encounter

Just proves that you don't need the latest and the greatest technology such as brushless etc...... This screwdriver has plenty of power for what it does. I researched quite a bit before I decided on this tool. The other manufacturers such as Milwaukee and Bosch all have their 12v battery placed right into the grip, making it thick and uncomfortable even if you have large hands. Also, you cannot place the tool upright when you lay it down. This Dewalt design is perfect. The battery although inserted at the bottom of the grip makes the grip sized just right when you want to torque a screw down. Also it enables placing it upright while you work on any project. The clutch is brilliant. The adjustment allow for fine-tuning whatever screw you are using without stripping the head. I use it for carpentry and it handles all the smaller screws for cabinet drawers as well as 3" long screws for hefty/bulky fasteners. I get a full days work assembling woodwork and never ran out of battery midway. The smaller size and the short snout allow for using in very tight areas. Its a woodworkers' must have tool.Read full review

So far have only used a few times to unscrew/screw. I like the feel of it in my hand (have relatively small hands) and the weight is consistent with it's size. Feels solid. Also like that it comes with two batteries/ The unit I received was already charged and ready to go. It would be nice if it came with a fitted, rigid case instead of the canvas bag, but that is just something I would prefer-not a deal breaker...

I already own one of these and bought this one for my brother who drools everytime I use it and he drags out his heavy 19v driver. This is lightweight and powerful enough to drive screws in softwood under most circumstances. I haven't used it much in hardwood, but I always pre-drill there anyway. This little puppy keeps up with the bigger, heavier contenders and doesn't weigh me down. There are usually a few laughs when I pull this out in a new group of guys, but once they see it perform, they are typically impressed. I love the LED light on the front end. There are so many times when that has come in handy. To tell me that it has a light on the front would not impress me - not until I have actually used it. I can't count the number of times that light has saved my backside because I'm trying to work in some dark corner and with the light, I don't have to mess around setting up lights. This is a very nice feature. I wasn't too sure about the hex shank on this, but it works great. I drive all sorts of screws with this, Torx, Phillips, Robertson. They all have bits available and are quick to change - you can do it one-handed with some practice. This is my go to driver in all circumstances. If this doesn't handle the job, I have to go to a corded drill to get the power I need. I love this tool and recommend it to any homeowner/do-it-yourselfer/intermediate woodworker or even my brother! I'd love it even more if this had an impact feature, but it would be heavier and cost more, so I'll take it the way it is. I don't own an impact driver and would love to have one, but this does such a great job, I'm not sure I'll ever spring for the bucks to get one.Read full review
