I'm reading this alongside "Economics; the anti-textbook", which has a great deal more clarity and order. This book has some absolutely fantastic insights, but he ought to have kept the graphs and tables within the book, and not shied away from math and equations when explaining mathematical concepts. He is trying to appeal to a mainstream audience, but this book misses that mark. This is dry and technical in places, it's not a friendly introduction to heterodox economic thought. Why four star then? Because read alongside other books, or during an undergrad economics unit, it can be very enlightening, it's not the most accessible book but it rewards a bit of hard work. It's just unfortunate that prof Keen makes it a bit harder than it should be.
