A trained and respected pilot, she flew with the Air Transport Women's group delivering bombers across the rth Atlantic. Having crossed paths with the love of her life, Chris Morgan, a Texas Ranger, on several occasions, she again encounters him as a B-25 pilot in Europe. Bonded by their passion for aviation and the mutual attraction, they begin life together after the war desiring to live peacefully with Chris returning to law enforcement. Challenged by post-war life, they are discouraged when interrupted by the outbreak of the Korean conflict and Chris' recall to military service.
