Author Biography
Douglas Palmer is a science writer who currently writes for the Financial Times, Science, New Scientist, BBC Wildlife Magazine and other publications. He is the author of Life Before Man (Reader s Digest) and was the consultant editor on The Marshall Illustrated Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Animals. As well as writing, he teaches Earth Sciences at Cambridge University and Geology and the Environment for the Open University. Previously, he has researched and lectured on fossils at Trinity College, Dublin University, edited several academic publications, and worked as Exhibition Coordinator for Mammoths and the Ice Age at the National Museum of Wales. Douglas lives with his wife and the younger of two daughters in Cambridgeshire, England.
