History

Emerging out of 1960’s London, UK shoe brand Dr. Martens is well recognised for their signature design of boot which has had a huge influence on the contemporary street fashion around the world.

Dr Martens shoes trace their origin to an enterprising German soldier by the name of Klaus Martens. Invalided out of his unit, he sought to create a shoe that would be highly comfortable to wear and yet supremely protective of his injured foot. No such shoe was available and so he went ahead and created his own style. His first shoe proved to be better than anything else on the market and it wasn’t long before Docs was selling like hot cakes, especially in winter! Then it wasn’t long after that the shoes went international, which have been stamping their footprints in the sands of time ever since then.

Docs, as they are affectionately nicknamed, feature the distinctive yellow stitching all around the base at the sole and are always manufactured to the highest standards possible.
