Duane Eddy's distinctive guitar tone and low, twangy riffs brought him several instrumental hits (15 of his singles hit the Top 40) between 1958 and 1963, including iconic tracks like "Rebel Rouser" and "Peter Gunn," both of which are included in this four-disc, all-over-the-map survey of Eddy's distinctive work, which still plays well all these years later, although too much of Eddy at one sitting can get a bit repetitive. It's still a great guitar tone, and it's timeless, really. ~ Steve Leggett
