Fable 3 is the sequel to Fable 2 and is set approximately 50 years after the conclusion of the earlier game. Now the Kingdom has moved into an industrial age and the game locations reflect this as they include gloomy industrial areas and abject poverty. The kindom is run by a dictatorial King who just happens to be the older brother of the games central character (you). As the hero you must restore the Kingdom to its former democratic ways and to do this you not only have to confront your brother but other unseen opponents. There are also many subquests which can be played in parallel with the main quest or later. The game follows a style familiar to players of Fable 2, but with significantly improved graphics and many well known actors provide the 'voices' of the principal characters. I found the game to be very enjoyable and with a great deal of replay value. I have now sold my copy but it is very likely I will purchase the game again at a later date.Read full review
I bought this game because I like the Outside Open World style adventure games like Just Cause & JC2, Tomb Raider & Far cry etc. I Played Fable 2, but never got around to finishing it, however, I have played this through twice so far. First as the Princess and then as the Prince, with my clever & trusty Woofer by my side, helping to guide me to treasures. I played as a Noble Hero (all determined by the choices you make), rather than Tyrant & after completing the game, I created a second game & new Hero,to whom I transferred all my first heros treasury to & kick started with more in the coffers - This ensured NO LOSS of lives in the "Big Bad Darkness" battle. It is a one or two player co-op and you can play online with other "LIVE" players, you can gift and receive also. Some quests require another person, whether it be online or co-op. It is unfortunate, but typical, that X-box removes parts of the game & makes you pay for them, there are many quests & extra's (like choice of breed of dog) to "Purchase" via Marketplace. However, the game still has heaps of quests, mini quests, battles, bads & "Throne rooms Kingdom Decisions". Even once you have seen the credits, there is still so much to do, so the game isn't REALLY finished. Making nice with the town folk can be tedious, but is necessary to an extent, to upgrade etc. Gameplay is pretty good, CGI good, Magic, Weaponry, Fashion, Marriage, Parenting, Entrepeneur & Real Estate management. Some humour thrown in & funky dance moves, gestures and thrusts to win over or put off the town folk. Overall, I find this game very entertaining & the sanctuary facility is great for speedy ventures, however, somewhat hindered by the choice of quest chosen or bestowed upon you. Plenty of walkthroughs & run downs available on the internet. Rate this as one of my top 10 games & in the vane of such titles as Tomb Raider, Just Cause 1 & 2, Drakan (Ps2), with a touch of The Sims & Sim games.Read full review
An amazing game that takes you to a whole world full of adventure and choices to choose from. Mould your character to be the perfect hero or a powerful tyrant. Exception game-play with a few new additions that will satisfy owners of previous titles of the franchise. High playback value.
It has a good storyline and gameplay is awesome and is fun to join with other Xbox members online but all in all you must play fable and fable 2 before buying it so you understand the storyline
