I have tried a number of secateurs over the years.........the Felco 2 in my opinion, is the best value for money . They are extremely well made, & with the odd sharpen now & again, perform consistently over a long period of time. Replacement parts are also readily available in the event they suffer accidental damage. There is no doubt there are multiple choices in this field.......prices range from $8 to $18 in the lower range, but the longevity & quality is questionable. Only Felco
After losing my favourite Felco secateurs I didn't want to replace them with any other brand because I know how good they are. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and had no hesitation in buying an identical pair to my very old but still very efficient Felco secateurs. Don't fix if it isn't broken, but you have to do something if you are dopey enough to lose them.

Swiss made, Reliable and Durable Felco 2.
The Original Felco 2 are durable and reliable. The blades can be kept clean with fine sandpaper and warm water to remove plant sap. You then hand dry with a towel and spray with WD40 oil on Blades and spring. The blades can be sharpened using a sharpening stone. Replacement parts are also available.

Excellent secateurs for the discerning gardener.
I always wanted good quality steel in a set of pruners and I recommend that you buy the belt pouch at the same time even if it is not exactly cheap. Felco blades can be replaced and this represents a lifetime investment and professional care equipment for any serious gardener - one for the kids to inherit.
