I found the steam station easy to use, extremely light weight, because you don' have the water in the iron. I love the clip on devise that enables it to be picked up to carry it. Bad point is if you only have a couple of things to iron, it is not worth using the steam station because you have to wait at least 8 minutes for it to be ready to use...so you need another small "instant" iron.

I find the tefal steam generator has changed how I iron. It gives a constant level of steam and the iron is light to use. I like to use a high level of steam and it does require refilling during the iron. As this necessitates the chamber to cool I have to wait around ten minutes to release the remaining steam pressure. Then I go through the reheating process. This item is not for the impatient. At the conclusion of the iron the chamber is allowed to cool which is quite a long period. At that time you flush the chamber with fresh water to remove calcium buildup. Sounds complicated doesn't it. Not really, but is time consuming. The quality of the finished article is way above a regular iron. So if you want a good finished garment and have patience then a steam generator is the way to go

My husband does the ironong and thinks the iron is good with one drawback, you cannot refill the water container once it is hot and you have started ironing. Our previous iron (not a Tefal) had flap that you could open, top up the water chamber and keep in ironing.
