I am severely obese and wanted to make one last effort before I gave up and just let myself die. Seeing Joe start this thing quite overweight himself instantly made me curious how he would fare in his quest. the longer I watched it the more convinced I became that this could very well be the way to go. joe is very motivating if a bit straight forward .. And almost insensitive at times. perhaps that is what is necessary to really get others to take a serious look at what is ahead if they do not change their direction. He is very real in wanting to also share his success on the reboot program and I found that to be very motivating. He meets many on his journey across the US and shows them, with his own life, how they can "Reboot" their own body to desire the kinds of food that will not only make them healthier, but in many cases allow them to take less of medications they may be on over time. I am ready to give up all the things necessary and finally make REAL changes. I recommend this video to all those like me who are ready to literally "Do or Die"Read full review

I absolutely loved this DVD! I now constantly look at people as either Fat Sick and Nearly Dead and think how I wonder if this information could save their life and if they would possibly be willing to make the effort to do something for themselves? I have tried to suggest that this video holds the answer and several people I know have at least watched it. However, so far these few people say to me they could never go without the garbage they eat daily and are just too weak to attempt a juice fast even for 3-days! I am totally disgusted by the attitude of so many of these sick fat and nearly dead people and have determined they deserve to be where they are!I am a vegan living in Nebraska if you get my point? This is the most amazing and inspiring video imaginable on the subject! I'm absolutely high on it! I have done a 10 day juice fast and have completely adjusted my mind to where I will not even want to cheat with that piece of bread or sweet. I did not need to lose more than 10 pounds, so my body condition was not as grave as most people in Nebraska. Now, I'm completely on track and will never go back to stupid eating choices. This video with its message, will make you stronger! I cannot praise it enough or the good it has done for me and my family! Well, I'm off to work in the garden to grow all I can to keep my juicing cost down. If you only juice once a day and sustitute one meal a day with a juice diet that is perfect once you get to a normal body weight! This video will change many lives for the better! I viewed this film about 5 months ago and was amazed at 2 things. 1) How well Joe did at getting his health back on track. & 2) How few people were willing to even listen to his story. The upside is that he turned his life around. And the lives of a few people he met on his journey. The down side is that it is an all juice diet that would not satisfy most of us for the long term. That said though, there are many very worthwhile pieces of good information and thought provoking suggestions that make watching this film worth the time. Overweight Australian filmmaker Joe Cross attempts to wrestle back control of his failing health during a cross-country trek in which he engages everyday Americans in discussions about food and obesity in this lighthearted documentary addressing a deadly serious subject. Clocking in at 310 pounds and pumped full of steroids to battle a debilitating autoimmune disorder, Cross realized that he would soon be dead if he didn't make some major lifestyle changes. But pharmaceuticals were only treating his symptoms, and no doctor seemed capable of providing the long-term care and support it would take to turn his life around. Desperate, Cross loads up his car with a juicer and a generator, and pledges to survive on nothing but fresh fruit and vegetable juice for 60 days. Not long after his journey begins, Cross quickly realizes that he's well on his way to ending his growing dependence on prescription drugs. Excellent job by Joe Cross. I was already a believer in juicing, but it was a good reminder of what I already knew, plus, I learned more. I've heard of friends watching this and how impressed they were, and so I bought it and added to my library. Actually I bought a second copy so that I can loan it out to someone who has not heard about the video. Highly recommend, and anyone interested in truth concerning the food they consume would benefit greatly by getting and watching this video. I have watched it myself several times already, b/c I find that the more I review it, the more information I pick up that I had missed before. This gives more information, in my estimation, about your health that the medical and food industries do not tell you, and after all, why should they, they are in business to make money, and if you get sick in the process, then hooray for them, they have accomplished what they set out to do, make you sick and make big bucks in the process. I highly recommend this video and for people to take back their lives and health from BIG businesses. Get back to nature and the things God gave us, we were all healthier then.Read full review
GREAT DVD! Truly life changing, potentially life saving information. Like Joe, I too had health problems that nearly killed me and put me into a coma. It was thru the power of fruits and vegetables that I am not only alive but am in the best health that I have ever been in. If I had only understood earlier in life the power that lies in the tens of thousands of phytonutients and antioxidents that are only found in fresh raw fruits and vegetables I could have helped myself years before it got to the point of having to take over $1700 worth of meds each month. The problem with juicing however is not only the ridiculous amount of work and cost involved and the fact that it is not portable and cannot be continued indefinitely. Thank God I had a Dr. from my church tell me where i can get 25 different fresh, raw, vine ripened fruits, vegetables and berries that I now take daily without all the mess and fuss that costs less than 1/4 of what it costs to juice each day. Since adding it to my diet, I am grateful to say that I am not on even one prescription anymore and have lost 63 lbs in the process.
