Initially concerned about its reputation for being slow, recent firmware updates coupled with the new Fujinon 35mm f2 lens and although not as fast as my 5D Mk II, it's fast enough. Great IQ and rendering of skin tones to. Biggest challenge (although fun one) is deciding which two lenses I should purchase to complement it.

This second hand camera was very reasonably priced and in very good condition. The only problem I have with this camera is that there is no diopter adjustment for the Electronic/Optical viewfinder which for me is an issue as I normally wear glasses. However, the LED display is fine for checking the final image so this hasn't been a problem. The image quality is great and having used the Fuji X100S and Fuji XE2 I must say that it is great there is not much to learn to use this excellent camera. Although the replacement ( Fuji X-Pro 2) is now available, it costs 5 times more than this camera second-hand and although the improvements are good, this camera will probably last me quite a while before considering upgrading. The fact that the XF series lenses fit with no problems is also a bonus as all my lenses for my Fuji XE2 are interchangeable. The camera is also much smaller than a comparable SLR camera, so lighter and less obvious for street photography. The black colour is also really cool, especially with the black lenses I have.Read full review
