An excellent choice for someone who is looking for an overdrive in the Tube screamer family, but without the intense midrange hump. The versatility of this pedal is primarily in its included boost mode, which can be used either before, or after, the boost. Before, for more distortion, or after, for the same tone, but louder. The boost can be used on its own as well, which is a very handy feature. I wish all effects pedals had the jacks located at the leading edge as this one does, as it allows for close placement on a crowded board. This pedal, like all Fulltone products, is very sturdily constructed, and it seems as if a 9 volt battery will last indefinitely. I'm glad I made this purchase, and I'd recommend it highly to someone looking for a great sounding, well made product that will handle most classic rock tones with aplomb.Read full review

...recommended by Pete Anderson...what else is there to say..it really is all-that and a bag-of-chips...you can dial in any tone you will ever need in a overdrive pedal...PLUS you can go directly to boost on the fly...i purchased mine for $120.00 and NO TAX...."GREAT DEAL"....most loverly...swampdog

Most people already know the Fulldrive is a great overdrive/boost. The new ability to use the boost separate, and put it before or after the overdrive, is a real plus.

Using it if front of a driven amp- both for midrange lead roar, and for lower gain attack (backing down guitar volume, with boost function) I owned the Fulldrive 2 several years ago, and now the Version 3. Both great pedals.

Excellent pedal. In my opinion better than the Fulldrive 2 Mosfet model.
