Fairly accurate, maps load fast and recalculates quickly without a lot of turn around nonsense. I like how the "near me" function breaks down searches into categories; for example when you're searching for a restaurant you can search by type of cuisine such as French or Italian. However I've found it doesn't find gas stations that I happen to know exist. Controls are simple and intuitive, you won't need the manual. Saves all of your preferences automatically. MP3's play flawlessly and unit can handle a 16Gb card however navigating through your library can be a challenge. Plug this unit into your stereo and with the bluetooth function you have turn by turn GPS, phone and music all in one package.
I had one of these that I burned out,(my fault, not garmin's) so I bought one on here. It is a great GPS for the money. I use it on roads I am already used to as I like the mph reading and it keeps me aware of the speed limit on most roads. The one I burned out would freeze up once in awhile when I would cause it to re-calculate, the one I bought has a memory card in it and I have noticed I can make several wrong turns and it has not froze up yet, pretty good considering I have had it for about a month now and use almost every day. I would recommend this to anyone whether you are going somewhere for the first time or just like seeing if there is a faster way to get where your going. I do recomment that you add a memory card as it seems to ease its operation making it an even better value.
This Nuvi was an excellent price, the display is very sharp and easy to see. The features are great and so is the ease of use. The only thing that I have found at fault is when I set it up to go somewhere it took me an old way instead of the updated shorter way to my location. The GPS is updated so I do not understand why it put this longer older fashion step in. I like the size of this GPS and so far happy with it.
I was looking for a "middle of the road" GPS for a trip, more or less, just to have one to try on a rather short trip (200 miles)I had to make. At first it seemed a little confusing starting from my local area, as I already was familiar. As far as main routes I thought it was great, especially when it indicates lane changes etc. I do not travel a lot but I think this unit will work fine for my purposes, judging from my one time use. Happy with the purchase. This is my first purchase of a GPS so I really can't compare it with any other product.
Very easy to mount and use, pretty self-explanatory. The graphics are great and do their job nicely. The satellites took a bit to set up, but after that first time, it updates superfast with no problem (I have used it in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tenessee) I specifically like two features: - the superflat format (just a tad thicker than an I-phone) makes it easy to carry or store in your car compartment. - the eco option, allows you to set your car mpg and track it, AND you can "play" the eco-challenge where you try to minimize your gas consumption by driving more mindfully. I am not the most tech trendy or saavy person and this works just fine for me. I am satisfied with every penny I paid for it.
