This is Gary Moore when he was still rocking out! He only did one more proper rock album after this(after the war) and it dosen't stand up against 'wild Frontier'. He wears his Irish armband proudly on this album, and although a little over produced in parts, i still think it's one of Gary Moore's finest solo offerings. And once again he demonstrates his masterful control of the guitar , which no-one can deny is among the very best.I still revisit this album when i feel like a bit of moody irish rock!
this album was the best that gary moore had writen it sums this brilliant rock/ blues guitarists playing skills up on one album it just takes over from were he left off with the also brilliant run for cover album with tracks like wild frontier crying in the shadows empty rooms @ of course run for cover so if ur a gary moore fan get those albums of the shelf and get playing them @ lets all get rockin @rollin catch u later guys @ remember never stop rockin from a big gary moore fan who comes from this guitarists home town .
This is superb rock guitar playing with some great songs in the 'Thin Lizzy' vein. Moore is a master of this style of playing and he has an absolutely enormous guitar sound. He plays throughout with great feel and intelligence and never loses the aim of the album by drifting into empty and meaningless virtuosity. No brain-dead noodling here just top-quality head-on rock guitar He is a master of touch and tone, guitar sounds great and the band are cooking!
gary moore at his best doing rock, not a great fan of blues but he's still great to listen too. I'm probably livin in the past but who cares, good music lasts forever
