Probably his best album since "Songs for Beginners" - both interestingly products of a broken relationship. As you would expect this album is reflective in nature (looking back) and (anticipatory) looking forward - what comes next? I enjoy his idiosyncratic very personal musings on life and love even if they betray his self absorption (not too much thought about his ex-wife and children): I wander down this path tonight All these dangers of destruction Fill my breath with life and light I drink it deep and think about us On this path tonight and lack of self awareness: And with everything I've ever done Well, I've tried to be my best But everyone I've ever known Has been some kind of test Put this to one side and the album is great listening - some beautiful acoustic guitar and harmonica and great vocals. Make sure you get the limited edition with DVD. Read full review
