The series was satisfactory if not completely satisfying. It is not part of the BBC Earth series and suffers from a repetition of CGI renderings of the island formation and a lack of island map references within the Galapagos group. The four principal ocean current graphics were not clear and the elevation of the seamount plateau was not great. David Attenborough gave it some gravitas. The BBC Earth effort of the same name had some presentation problems as well. If the two approaches could be combined with only a David Attenborough narration ( not necessarily his attendance), that would be ideal. Having said that, nothing can detract from the subject material. The photography is stunning.
