Seems to be a solid unit and does well for it's intended purpose. I was spoiled by a Rand McNally that offered different and maybe better features but it only lasted 5 years. My Mom has a very old Garmin that still works for her purposes. Maps maybe out of date but it still works. If this lasts many years it will be a good value, especially since it has the option of Lifetime map updates.

Garmin DEZL 760 tracking function does not work. I called Garmin tech support for help and they said it was a flaw that is "with a lot of units" and it " can't be fixed at this time". Other features work ok but apparently on many of this model... the "where I've been" app does not hold a track in memory.

I just bought a longer travel trailer, and wanted a GPS that knew where the sharp curves were, and avoided them. The trailer is 31.5', added to my 22' F350 crew cab, and you can tell why corners might be avoided. Overall, I like the GPS, typical of my experience with other Garmin GPSs. The only comment I had is it might be a bit TOO conservative - it tried to take me on some routes that were longer, but I knew the roads and ignored the GPS - and did just fine. So if it doesn't have the data for the road you are on, it probably will consider it questionable and route you around that road - which could waste a lot of gas. I need to play with it more, but I did like how it give me notice of which roads it did not know (shows an icon of a truck with a question mark). Overall, great product so far!Read full review

First let me say that I've researched many GPS units aimed at truckers. One was an extremely inexpensive unit from China that, while the interface was straight forward and easy to use, the first trip it routed me under a low bridge that there is NO way I could have cleared. It also stated that it offered live traffic updates. It did not. It offered "predictive traffic" updates. I don't need at GPS to tell me that 4pm in downtown Cincinnati, traffic might get heavy. I need it to tell me when/where accidents and closures happen and a good route around them. That's exactly what the Garmin 760LMT does! Its interface is easy to use, it WILL NOT route you into dangerous unknowns, and has many MANY up to date features that any/all commercial drivers need and use. Also, if you're tight with a dollar, the 760LMT is exactly the same unit as the newer 770LMT, but the two have different preloaded maps. One has maps of North America, the other has North America and Europe. I'll save the money because I'm not planning to drive to Europe anytime soon. Hope this helps! Read full review

I drive dump truck and this piece of equipment is awesome! My job constantly changes so the voice command comes in very handy. Since you can't write down an address while driving, cause you can't always pull over and stop, you just use the voice command to quickly plug in a new address. The screen is very detailed when it comes to the local streets. And I didn't even know this but it also has Blue Tooth capability! So you can use the Voice command to look up numbers in your phone and dial them all thru your Garmin! Totally hands free!
