This card runs everything I have thrown at it without even getting warm. I don't think I'll be upgrading again for a while. The cooling on the card is silent when it's idle because the fans turn off completely and even running a stress test, the GPU sat at only 65degC with the fan going at one third power and still pretty quiet. The only technical issue I had with this card is that it is a very long card. It's not really suited to my case because of where the hard drives mount but with a more appropriate case this would not be a problem. As for value for money... it's hard to argue for the GTX 1070 in general - it's an expensive card. There are also cheaper options than the Gigabyte G1 but I chose this one for the cooling solution and I'm very happy with it. If you're not looking to spend so much the Nvidia GTX 1060 cards are better performance per dollar value and the AMD RX 480 fall in a similar spot and are both very capable at 1080p gaming at a much lower price.Read full review

The 1070's are on discount in the last few months by approx 200AUD or more from the retail price since the launch of the 1060's. It's silent, performs better than expected (then again, you wouldn't expect less for a 800AUD retail priced card anyways). It's quite a long video card, so make sure you have the space in your case! I'm very happy with the card, I assume I will have the card for 5+ years. Definately worth the investment.

After buying a Gigabyte GTX 670 4 years ago I have been happy with that card but my new Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 OC has been the perfect upgrade. A solid quiet card that is a great replacement with a good overclocking ability out of the box. A zero risk option I can't recommend it enough.

Great card, mainly used for Battlefield 4, but at max settings at 1440 I do get some artefacts but can live with it, by dropping settings to auto Very quite card does not get too hot and has low power requirements Paid $680 Australian on special - Leo
