Was hoping for a more general history but got a mainly American history with the usual dose of propaganda (although not too over the top). Very good if you are interested in mainly US firearms and those used against them, but as a history of all firearms it leaves bit to be desired , eg I don't recall the Sten gun (or sub machine guns in general other than the Thompson), or the Bren Gun (a far better firearm than the B.A.R.) and SLR being covered even though they were mass produced and major firearms of other countries. However it is a US production and therefore am not surprised. In other words made for US consumption and good for what it actually is - USA.
