Harts Remember When is a biographical account of my parents' lives, told in sobering detail, as well as over 100 captivatingly true stories that happened throughout their lives. While some of the stories are graphic in nature and may seem untrue because of the unthinkable events portrayed as they grew up in Mississippi and Arkansas, every story is absolutely true and credible. As I began to interview my parents, I thought I had heard every interesting story of their lives as I grew up, but I quickly realized, we hadn't scratched the surface. I was in tears at some points during the writing of Harts Remember When, and fell out laughing at other times. One thing is for sure, the amazing struggles, laughter, tears, triumphs, and cruelty they endured throughout their lives should be a testimony of the human will and spirit, letting us kw we can adapt to many situations and hardships, and still have a smile on our face at the end of the day, moving forward with every new challenge, or in spite of every misfortune.
