Not better than expected but its a fun little quad . Newer quads have faster flight controller but fun place to start out in toygrade quad drones for manual control learning

The Q4 was very challenging very fast and seem to have a mind of its own. We trimmed it to the best abilities and did manage to have better control but it seem to love our walls. I do have to give the Q4 props pretty tough character and we haven't broken it yet. For the price I would say it's right on Q. And without being too harsh on the Q4, it could have been are flying skills or lack of. But my grandson and I are in total agreement from here on out the only Nano quads we get will have to have altitude hold.

Really small, as is the controller, and that can be a problem, since this drone responds very quickly, even on the lowest speed setting. You will need plenty of room and very still air unless you are a seasoned flyer. First couple of attempts to launch lurched quickly to the right and into a wall, despite having calibrated in mode 2, resulting in damage to the propeller guards. Was able to mend using Loct..e plastics bonding system, and will wait until I find a better location to fly this little zinger. I own and fly larger drones, but this one will require clear space and very steady hands. Should be able to maneuver like a hummingbird when I get used to it.

The most fun you can (legally) have for the price! ;) The parts,... actually, the whole quad are/is EXTREMELY TINY! When/if you break something (and you will!) you WILL need a small set of needle-nose pliers, good tweezers, and a decent set of SMALL precision screwdrivers. Even if you're fourteen years old, your fingers are simply too large to work on it easily. =( That said, this is a surprisingly tough little drone that's relatively easy to fly (keep it on low/beginner mode). Even for children! Any maintenance and charging should probably be left to (supervising) adults. The charging contacts are somewhat unusual; they seem kind of delicate to me, but I could be wrong - maybe they'll last for years; who knows. Buy a bag full of these things for the kids as Christmas, birthday, etc gifts. I don't think you'll be sorry. =)Read full review
