Explaining your depression to others made easy!
A friend showed me this book and I thought it was marvellous. It showed depression in a visual way that made sense to me. It proved that I am not the only one who feels like this! I use the black dog philosophy to help me deal with my illness ie I leave the dog at home when I go out! It also helped when trying to explain my condition to others. After reading the book my husband understands more about why I feel tired or why I find socialising difficult. By showing my friends the book they now realise why I act like I do. You don't have to try and explain all the elements of the illness - just show them the book! I have used it so many times - worth every penny!
