This is the album where Jackson starts showing off his compositional and instrumental chops. By 1982 he had moved to New York, where he developed a great love of Latin music. Perhaps spurred by his 1981 jump blues outing JUMPIN' JIVE, Jackson again stepped away from his rock & roll past, this time with some outstanding original tunes.
