Elizabeth Thiel is Senior Lecturer at the National Centre for Research in Children's Literature at Roehampton University, UK. She is an authority on Victorian evangelical writing, and is the author of The Fantasy of Family: Nineteenth-Century Children's Literature and the Myth of the Domestic Ideal, and has co-edited a number of collections on children's literature.
