Johnny Depp is one of the most enigmatic, alluring and gifted actors of his generation, whose charismatic screen presence has brought to life some of cinema's most enduring characters, from the tragi-comic Edward Scissorhands and the fantastical Willy Wonka to the murderous Sweeney Todd and the swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow. This retrospective provides illuminating commentary on each of Johnny Depp's movies, from his first ever role in A Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984 through to The Lone Ranger. Published to celebrate the actor's fiftieth birthday, and lavishly illustrated with over 250 images and behind-the-scenes stills from the movies themselves, Johnny Depp: A Retrospective is a fitting tribute to one of the big screen's most unique talents and eternally popular icons.
