Bought for a generator permanently installed, and very difficult access for installation and removal of the filter with most types of filter. The built in 'nut' on the end makes it easy. I understand that K&N are pretty good quality as far as the actual filtering is concerned too (kinda important!). No real way to check that, of course. Not cheap, but I think (hope!) good value.

I have generally stuck to Ryco or Repco branded oil filters for a number of years but after reading a review of these K&N filters decided to give them a go. They are comparable in price and for my application the addition of the hex nut on top makes the job of changing it somewhat easier.

K&N oil filters are good quality and with the 1" nut attached, they are easy to nip up and to undo. Have been using these filters for about 3 or 4 years on my wife's turbo and my V8. No problems. Recommend these filters.
