I love that it's small and compact as its for occasional document shredding. Wouldn't suit large jobs but perfect for disposing of personal information which arrives through the post.

This unit jams even on one sheet of paper, not so good. When it goes smoothly it does a reasonable job.

Terrible product quality. Paper gets caught in the shredder, cannot clear caught paper easily, only to get stuck again on the next sheet.

It's small but fine for home use if you don't have lots to shred, if you need to shred a decent amount of paper regularly I would suggest buying a different one.

Happy with the shredder, as it works for me - a bit fiddly, but I don't mind that too much. It does say on the box that the 'duty cycle' is 2 minutes then a 45 minute rest time, potentially to prevent overheating and killing the motor - a small workaround that I do is after shredding a few sets of A4 paper (don't go past 2 minutes!), I turn it off (i.e. either move the switch to off or unplug it) for a few minutes, then resume shredding. I also don't shred the maximum 5 sheets in one go, I just do 2 to 3 sheets at a time, less noise that way. Using a deeper bin than the one provided would be easier for doing and disposing larger amounts of shredding. With the small bin provided, I have to keep checking that none of the shredded paper gets stuck in the blades underneath. If any paper does get stuck, the motor immediately stops shredding as a safety measure.Read full review
