The problem isn't the show, the quality of which is obviously well known. The problem is with these particular DVDs. I have a multi-region DVD player, and have successfully watched a large number of DVDs formatted for regions outside North America; with this one, the moment you hear that voice introducing each episode, the same one you hear when you watch the other Law and Order shows, you know there's something wrong. The voice is too high, because the transmission, the playback, whatever you call it, is too fast. It's the same when the program itself starts, with the voices of the actors. I assume the manufacturers overcompressed the data, maybe to make it fit into a smaller space on the disc. In any case, after the third episode I tossed it and looked for a replacement of the same show, same season, but from a different and more responsible manufacturer.Read full review
