Although not a native of Cheboygan, Michigan, I come from a family in which my dad's entire family hailed from this small city, and where mom and dad lived for almost all of the 1950s -- and so I found quite a bit of the content and people profiled very, very interesting. The book is well-written and researched, and presents those personages (both past and present) who have made their mark on Cheyboygan -- the chronological manner in which the stories are told make it easy to relive the growth of the town, and it is a story which even an outsider might find compelling. The price is certainly reasonable, and the content did not disappoint in the slightest. Complete with an index of names, this is a must-have for anyone with ties to Cheboygan.
