    Long Live Skynyrd

    One of the greatest Southern Rock albums by the greatest Southern Rock band of all time. This remastered re-release has the original cuts as well as bonus tracks from previous studio takes. As much as anyone could go on and on about 'Skynyrd records, this one hits in a totally different way. I won't go into all the tragic drama, but rather write this review to celebrate the life and guitar mastery of Steve Gaines who played on this record. He is easily the most unknown best guitarist ever! His licks are amazing, and he could sing as well as write really rocking tunes. Had he not been so unfortunately taken from life in his prime, he would have been considered in the ranks of all the greats. He breathed a new life into the band at a time when they were experiencing some issues that ...

    GREAT REPLACEMENT IF YOU LOST YOUR VINYL -

    One of last albums ever done with the original group. it was published PRE THE SAD, SAD, CRASH and the loss of the members. Lost entire vinal collection and everything else in Hurricane IAN. There were some of favorites so we replaced them with cds. they are good, but the feeling of taking out the album, checking out the artwork and putting it on the record player just isn't the same. This CD was great!!!

    Lynyrd Skynyrd "Street Survivors"

    The Quintessential Skynyrd Album that cemented Their Legacy As a Bona Fide Southern Rock Juggernaut before the tragic plane crash that grounded their touring for a long time. However this music is part of the enduring legacy they have gifted the world with. Steve Gaines added a new element that put he group over the top. Song like "Whats Your Name, You Got that Right,and Merle Haggards Honky Tonk Night Time Man" were so fresh that they have stood the test of time . You can't go wrong with this album.

    Great album, songs about turmoil and tribulations within the band.

    Street Survivors is a straight up... kick in the gut album I think pretty much set the band in stone as a top contender in rock music at the time. You can feel the powerful vocals of Ronnie Van Zant and how he was becoming a more seasoned song writer. This album was to be the beginning of better things to come for themselves to all of their loyal fans. It's sad that this great band was taken too soon.

    Free Bird!

    Nice job remastering one of my favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd albums. The expanded CD provides an additional 2 live cuts which are great as well. Always wonder what LS would sound like had Ronnie and Steve were still with us. Live on Free Bird!
