Very well made i.e. tough, water-resistant material, thick stitching (doubled up in some places), comfy padding and breathable mesh on the back pad and shoulder straps, durable YKK zippers. My initial impression was that the many attachment points would be too busy. They've grown on me. I can quickly add or remove gear for a weekend outing or day hike. The volume is deceptive. It isn't bulky or unwieldy, even when it's loaded up. The four compartments allow me to organize without being overkill. I have bags the same size or larger that have entirely too many pockets, IMO. I lose stuff in them and it's a PITA. The water bladder sleeve holds my 3L CamelBak and a Frogg Toggs poncho with room to spare. The tube may be ran through the right or left side. Sternum and waist straps may be quickly removed if I'm not using them. They are easily replaced if I am loading it down and greatly help distribute the weight (I've had just under 40 lbs in it at the most). I have a narrow and short torso (5' 4" & 135 lbs) and they work out perfectly. The bed roll straps along the base are a nice touch. They are large enough for a queen-size wool blanket rolled up around a 10'×10' Aqua Quest tarp. I was hesitant to spend the money on this bag. After seeing the materials, construction, and design for myself, I think it was money well spent. I have seen or used similar bags and, although some were slightly less expensive, they do not compare well to the Falcon III. Shop around and find a good deal. I paid ~$120 + free S/H.Read full review

Great pack!Very sturdy unlike many of the cheap tactical backpack clones that don't last long. The 35 liter Maxpedition Falcon III is the third Maxpedition product I've bought so far.Plenty of room for your EDC gear.I use my pack for hiking but it would be great for urban gear as well. There's even a pocket for a concealed carry pistol. For $144 you can't go wrong. There's plenty of straps to carry your gear such as an ax,a machete,a tarp, tent,or wool blanket.
