my original died due to dog chewing. i picked this part up used because a new one is excessively expensive. this one is not a generic replacement so it isn`t made from the cheapest stuff available so it should last for a while as opposed to the overheating i`ve experienced with some aftermarket laptop power supplys.

When I first took the power supply out of the package I could tell it was cheap quality because it didn't feel right and was so much lighter than the original. I plugged it in and it started to make a loud buzzing noise but I figured that was just because it was an inexpensive replacement. After about 30 minutes, the xbox just completely shut off and wouldn't turn back on. I picked up the power supply and it was hot to the touch and had actually started to melt the underside of the casing. I'm glad it broke quickly or else I probably would have had a fire. Do not buy this product, it is dangerous!

After year and a half, my original XBox One power supply started making a loud noise. I was excited to find this economic replacement on eBay. Delivery was fast, within one week, but It was not as quiet as the original from XBox was when new. The first weekend I used it, the XBox shut down after 4 or 5 hours of use. The first thing I checked was the power supply and it was too hot to handle. I put the original power supply back on and, though it is still noisy, my XBox works perfectly.

This Power supply brought my XB1 back to life but it comes with a cost. Unlike the factory power supply, this power supply is 1/3 the weight but comes with a cooling fan. The cooling fan is very noisy - enough noise to interfere with game play on quieter stages of a game. I'll keep using it while I research a PSU that is silent or near-silent.

I bought this product thinking that i would get a properly working power supply for my new Xbox one, but in reality i got a power supply that worked for a week then stopped working only when i played games. I thought my Xbox broke so I sent it in to Microsoft only to get it back 2 weeks later to plug it back in for it to stop working again. i used my friends power supply to find out that the entire time that my power supply was the problem and that now i have to wait another 2 weeks to get another power supply.
