Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in GPS, Chartplotters
I originally bought this unit because of its convenient size (ie.able to be carried in a shirt pocket instead of a belt) and its features. I have other GPS units which are excellent but bulky. I liked its design and "User-Friendly" features. As a keen bush-walker, these attributes really appealled. Unfortunately, it did NOT live up to the marketing promises. The first criteria of any GPS is that it must connect with the numerous satellites in a reasonable time. This is where the Bushnell failed, only connecting with the satellites on about ONE out of FOUR attempts. These attempts would last for 15-20 min. Not good enough for any form of off-track activity and could be classified as "Life-Threatening" if you relied on it. Sorry GDS, but it got returned. Hopefully to be replaced by a "Fair-Dinkum" GPS. So far the boys @ GDS have been very understanding re its failure. Would I recommend the Bushnell Backtrack GPS ----NO! Bushnell - stick to binoculars, you do those well. Doug. Cordell. Horsham.
