Once you get past the relatively high cost (like everything Bachman I'm sorry to say) they are a positive addition to practically any model railroad, large or small. (Not TOO small though, they are NOT designed to have very tight radiuses out of them.) Best placement is in a level section of your layout if possible, however, with some careful planning they can be used on grades or turns successfully. Try to find them on sale or discounted, and be sure to inspect even brand new ones as soon as you open them. The rare but occasional defect can occur, and if not detected prior to installation can make for a very unhappy model railroad engineer! Typically they function perfectly and derailments etc are very infrequent. Have fun and see you at the station!

Looks realistic, works great, better conductor than the original tracks with the black roadbed. Several months down the road and still runs trains as good as day one!
