It has been a very personal journey, as one might expect and is a reflection of who I am and my message; that love is the single most important experience in life. I refer to it as the Boot Camp for my Soul! Each and every one of us t only deserves to discover and live their truth, it is within each and every one of us to define what that truth and happiness is to us, individually. We all have a spark or a passion to follow and this is what led me to create my Spirit Deck and write this book. So, I had exhaustively arrived at the place that sent me on a detour to re-discover who I was at the core of my being. I felt that it was time; that I needed to discover and learn the hows, to find the tools and follow my heart. I needed to do what my heart and spirit desired. Through my journey, I learned how to completely love and accept who I am, (mistakes and all) and to further believe that I am worthy and deserving of living the life that I always hoped I was capable of. The key was to begin living my life as a reflection of who I wanted to be and t who I perceived everyone wanted me to be. To break down the box that was built around me and to live outside of it, wholly and completely as me. This is my journey of insights, guidance and tools. It began as a Companion book to my newly created Spirit Deck, the main objective was to bring the cards to life; to offer insight and guidance. The book managed to take on a life of its own, once started. It is t imperative to purchase both the book and deck, it is merely a suggestion. The deck offers more tools and also provides reflection and insight to daily challenges and opportunities. I am a 'Good Ole' Canadian Gal growing up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the gateway to the west. I was blessed to have shared my youth with 4 siblings with two amazing and energetic parents! My husband and I currently live on an acreage, with our puppies, Haley and Watson and our kitty, Orange Blossom. I am grateful to be living on this gorgeous property that I consider to be 'our little peace of heaven.' The beauty and peacefulness that surrounds us continues to amaze me daily; I am humbled to the many gifts that come our way each day; sunrises, sunsets, the phases of the moon, the wildlife and especially the birds. My Dream has always been to write. I have, in fact, been writing my whole life; journal after journal, notebook after notebook. Writing is what I am passionate about, which is why I created a Blog a couple of years back. (www.spiritwithinus.net) This is the place where I can transport my many thoughts and ideas, both crazy and creative alike. The source of this passion comes from my interest in understanding and connecting with people. The most enlightening step in this process has been in my discovery of who I am. My vision is to create a 'Place for People to Come to Celebrate Life, ' a Spiritual Retreat. This is not the name, only the essence of the retreat. My first book is the heart and soul of what I envision with the retreat. A place for people to come to celebrate who they are, to learn, to teach and to share this with others. I am currently working at bringing my retreat to fruition. On a personal level, I have spent that last five years discovering and learning who I am; finding my Authenticity. I have connected with an incredible Life Coach and Mentor over the past year and this has excelled and enhanced the experience. I knew upon our first meeting that what I was about to experience was going to be dramatic and life-changing. And it was. I am looking forward to future experiences, lessons and teachings, but most of all, I am excited about opening our Retreat and sharing this with others. I began by creating a Spirit Oracle Deck, which reflected who I was as a person and offered insights and tools of self-discovery. This led me directly to a Companion book of the same name. I am both proud and comfortable with my work as it truly does reflect my insight and guidance. When asked, 'What do you really want?' My answer is, 'To be happy and to find happiness in others.' Mindfully and consciously aware.
