Author Biography
I live in the beautiful state of Arkansas with my husband and a German Shepherd named Rogan. I've had dual careers, back to back. I'm a retired Nutritionist and I also worked in Real Estate for several years. I attended Arkansas State University where my course work also included creative writing. I love to cook, garden, write books, and spend time with my grandchildren. I write children's books, cookbooks, gardening books, some adult fiction and paranormal. I've contributed articles to a regional magazine. I've been involved in works of writing since my teen years. Besides my passions for writing, I'm also interested in teaching children life skills to help them become more independent and capable as individuals and to respect all that is good around them. My books all have themes of goal setting, growth, tolerance, acceptance, responsibility, and respect. I also advocate for the humane care of animals. They are smart, dependable, and affectionate beings. Unfortunately, through no fault of their own, many dogs and cats end up in shelters across the country. By shedding light on this problem and bringing a story forward to engage the reader, I hope to make the connection that a pet is so much more than just a pet. They can be a loving contributing responsible member to any family and those in shelters desperately need to find a home. On any given search across the web you can find stories about animal heroes. You will find stories of such heroes in my books as well.
