Gearbox sends gamers back to the Borderlands for a shooter-adventure sequel of high-velocity combat and custom character development. The first-person action plays out in dystopian outpost environments on the original game's planet of Pandora, five years later, as a greedy industrialist called Handsome Jack seeks to weed out the local populace through a series of gladiator matches. Players choose from four new character types, each with three branches of specialized development in the game's RPG-like experience system. Experience comes with kills and quest completions.<br><br>Expanding on the original game, Borderlands 2's gun system can create millions of different computer-generated weapons, as well as shields and equipment enhancements. Non-player characters are more expressive, and quest outcomes have more influence on the game world. In addition to the dusty, desert settings of the first adventure, the sequel visits a number of new Pandora environments, including the merciless frozen tundra where the revenge-driven plotline begins. Online, over a local network, or in split screen, the game's co-op mode allows a second player to freely join and drop out of a game in session.<br><br>This Game of the Year Edition includes the full original game as well as the DLC content "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty," "Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage," "Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt," and "Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep." This edition also includes the Creature Slaughter Dome, Gaige, the Mechromancer character class, Krieg, the Psycho character class, and a variety of gun packs and character skins.

Best 1st person shooter I've played.
No need to explain. Borderlands is more than 5 years old and still a huge fan favorite. Tons of loot. Replay is exceptional and side quests aren't boring. Tons of mini bosses and raids.

But other than that, the game is redundant. Characters aren't really developed, and the ones who are; barely have much to say or do in the story. They introduce characters For one or two missions and that's it. Gameplay is OK, customizable to your wants at any time (love it) but it is the same any place any time. Basic COD controller layout and a few perks to level you up faster. Leveling is tedious as well. You go through side missions on the way to the main mission and often times I couldn't tell what was the actual objective aside from point and shoot. Unless there was a cutscenes involved. The only memorable pieces were the wisecracks and funny commentary for the NPC demise or reaction. This game is more of a"Hey let's play this for two hours and get tired in less than half an hour " ... But other than that, the game is redundant. Less XP to go around,even with more monsters spawned but when you get to bosses (the thrasher in my case) you will get destroyed. Countless times,leaving you even less satisfied. It's basically the "Smash 4 for glory " of shooters. It's OK,but nothing more. And nothing less. Well worth a few bucks but overall this game had more potential than it's actual result. (Also game of the year edition has ALOT OF CONTENT. GET THIS VERSION IF YOU MUST GET THE GAME. )

This is a boring part 2 of borderlands. the first game was great this rendition is flat. I played the first game 4 times I did this one, part 2, only once. There you go enough said I am not a newbee I'm a seasoned player and expected something as good as the first. Change is not always good!!!!!
