Champ is a story about a family dog, his interactions with other animals, and the family's three young boys. Champ has an uncanny ability to protect and nurture. His varied adventures will keep the reader entertained and waiting in suspense as action unfolds. While the shorter chapters are perfect for the early reader's shorter attention span, the book has been enjoyed by all ages and is suitable for bedtime reading.
Andrew Hatch was born in New Hampshire and raised by Rev. John Hatch (a Baptist minister) and his mother Elizabeth in New England and rural New York State. His early years were spent in Lebanon Springs, NY, the location of this book. He completed Bible college in Alberta Canada where he had a short story I Faced Death published in their youth magazine. He worked on ranches in Montana and Alberta, was a Forest Service worker in northern California, and did children's mission work in British Columbia. Iliad Press published his short story Sharing in 1995. He has also completed two adult novels, West of Boston and Mystery of the Sweet Grass Hills.
