New Children's Book appeals to mini-divas everywhere! Kansas City, MO- Getting little girls to relate to real life situations can be key in their development. In children's books, often times they become disengaged because they don't see the connection between themselves and the characters.WordPowerUSA has published it's second book in theDiva Girl's Series that addresses a tough issues surrounding girls ages 7-18, Bullying and Bystanders. Glam Girl and the Big Fat Meanie is a book that takes little girls (and boys) through the experience of bullying and the effects that bystanders can make when they are witnessing someone being bullied. A bystander can be a powerful person for someone else being bullied. By doing simple things like t laughing at the bully's jokes, t bringing attention to the bully and continuing to be their friend in spite of the bully's means to isolate and belittle someone can sometimes seize the attempt. Co-author of the book, LeAndrea Mack says My daughter came home one day bothered by her friend being bullied. I was prepared to deal with her being bullied and they had plenty of material on what to do if they were bullied but t much on the bystander or witnesses of bullying. She was confused about rather it was ok to feel hurt when watching someone else get bullied and if there was anything she could do to help her friend. That's how the concept of this book was created. Co-author Aubree added, I just think that all girls should kw that Diva Girls aren't bullies and they stand up for themselves. I asked my mom to help me write a book about this because I did t kw what to do when I saw it. I hope it helps other little girls!
