It constitutes the catalogue of an exhibition to be held in the Museo Amparo en Puebla (Mexico) in 2012. The photographs are grouped into four thematic areas that have always been present in Iturbide's work: children, rituals, urban spaces, and gardens. Graciela Iturbide (born in 1942 in Mexico City) is recognised as one of Latin America's most important photographers. Since 1975 her work has been exhibited and published around the world. She has participated in more than seventy exhibitions, including individual showings at the Paul Getty Museum, the Fotomuseum Winterthur, and the Museo de Arte Modemo in Mexico City. In 2008 she won the Hasselblad Award, the world's most prestigious prize in the field of photography.
