I bought maxray 140W from outbax recently and took it out camping for the first time with a group from my 4WD club. I set it up on a bright sunny day and after letting it do its self-check as instructed in the booklet, it still hadn’t engaged or commenced charging. Some of the handymen in the club had meters to check it and there was no charging even after 20 min. They checked the connections and found that where the factory had joined the short wires coming out of the solar regulator on the panel to the longer cable, it had not been crimped in the connectors before the heat-shrink had been applied and the wires were not in contact. My friends fixed it for me but you need to know about this quality control issue. Once it was working it charged well.

This panel was advertised as 250W. I'm not sure it was, there is nothing mentioned about wattage on the panel or the box it came in. There was no carry bag, but for the price I was happy with fixings and the soldering etc. which I have read was an issue on some other panels. I have just used it during mid-July in Exmouth (which is a fair way North) and was getting about 7.5 amps per hour for about 7 hours of the days. So with limited hours of sun, I was still putting about 50 amps a day at least back in the battery which is perfect for running a 40 litre fridge and lights etc.The down side is the very short cable. You will need to replace this if you are using it for a camper trailer or van. I recommend this panel !

Much better support frame that supports centre not just the ends compared to others I have seen on sale. The MPPT controller is a good upgrade and is mounted on support legs instead of being stuck on the back of the panels. Thanks, great value for money and quality is better than other similar priced product on eBay. Very happy.

Seem to work quite well Bit of a bulky item to carry I would go the solar blanket type next time ,just because of the storage space needed. Otherwise it's a good unit.
