Author Biography
Author Rich Wheeler is a professional civil engineer, with a BSCE from the University of Florida. He was an Army brat, born at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. In addition to vacation travels throughout the world, he has lived at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas; Germany; Okinawa; St. Louis, Missouri; Lawton, Oklahoma; Stillwater, Oklahoma; Treasure Island, Florida; and Rockledge, Florida. In addition to his time at the University, he has lived in Gainesville, Florida since 1992. He has been married to Kathy for 32 years, and has three grown children (Colin, Laurel, and Marissa). Ronald Roundworm Is Incompoberate is his first novel. Illustrator Grandpa is also Richard Wheeler. As a teenager, he served for two years in the Navy and after graduation from the University of Missouri he served for twenty years in the Army. He completed his first career in 1969, retiring as Lt. Colonel. He saw combat in WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. His service decorations include the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. His second career was spent at Admiral Farragut Academy, in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he served as teacher, headmaster, and member of the Board of Directors. He and his British bride Louisa raised three sons, Richard, Ronald, and Roy. He has four grandchildren. Grandpa has a wanderlust, having traveled around the world and visited many countries.
